The aha moment when I found my purpose
From Cycles to Purpose: How Holding Space for Women Led Me to My True Calling
For years now I have been running an online business. This is my official job description:
I’m a Spiritual Mixed Media Artist and Writer, Goddess Life Coach, Travelling Priestess, Magico-Pragmatic Inspirationalist, and Creativity and Peaceful Joy Mentor.
Connected with the Greek Goddesses Archetypes, I hold space for women who feel "too much" or "not enough", and accompany them so they feel supported, shine their light, talk their truth, dare to rise, and raise the vibration of the planet as a whole!
"I hold space for women", that’s what it says.
What does that mean then? What is a woman? Who are those women you work with, pray Isaya?
Nice of you to ask, dear Reader. I thought I’d write a little bit about that today.
After very careful consideration, here is a definition of the people I can hold space for, the people I want and am skilled and competent to work with, aka what I call a woman. And don’t get me wrong, I know there is a lot of discussion nowadays around gender. And yet, today, I feel the need to clarify what I call "woman."
I know what a woman is. From the inside. A woman is a human being whose physiology is deeply attuned to cycles—most notably the menstrual cycle, a rhythmic dance of hormones that influences her body, emotions, and energy in a continuous flow of creation, release, and renewal. This cyclical nature connects her to the rhythms of the Moon, the Earth, and life itself, shaping her experience not in linear patterns, but in ever-returning waves of transformation.
Thanks to a finely tuned hormonal rhythm, primarily estrogen and progesterone, a woman’s body follows a cycle that affects far more than reproduction. It influences her energy, mood, sleep, metabolism, and even her cognition, creating a continuous pattern of rise, release, rest, and renewal.
Medically, a woman is an adult human with female reproductive organs, including ovaries, a uterus, and a vagina. Now, for my work, I don’t need all these organs to be functioning—or even still present. But for a woman to fully experience the magic of reconnecting with her cyclical nature, she needs to have, or at least have had, a menstrual cycle—that is, she was born with ovaries.
It took me a while to understand that, and even more to dare to write about that…
And I was happy with my definition.
I work with women. Good.
Yet, very recently, I’ve come to discover that there is a deeper layer to this.
I was lucky enough to attend a WOW Gathering last June. I also facilitated a couple of workshops on Living a Goddess Life and presented a draft of future TED talk (lol!).
WOW stands for Women Only Wellness.
Here’s what their promises were:
WOW is the MOST GORGEOUS Ladies Only Gathering!
Women Only Wellness will leave you feeling empowered, wanting to make self care a priority, and teach you how to integrate YOU and your needs into your daily lives.
Join us for a wellness weekend full of activities that will promote nurturing and sharing. With yoga, meditation, sound baths, creative writing, women's circles, hula hooping! and much more.
OMGoddess, they kept every one of those promises… and then some.
As a participant, I had fun, got my life rejoiced and uplifted, discovered some things about myself, shared some amazing conversations and the best hugs…
But as a facilitator? It cracked me open.
Because the women I was talking to, the incredible women who dared to enter my magic Divine Circle, those women were, for most of them, in the process of recovering.
You see, WOW Gatherings are created to help empower women to make healthy and positive choices and are to support two incredible UK charities: TRAC UK - The Recovery Advocates and Consultants, and Be Kind, No Excuses CIC, domestic abuse prevention.
Recovering from what? You may say.
From anything life has thrown at them—the hard, the heartbreaking, the heavy.
Abuse, Toxic relationships, Addiction, Grief, Chronic stress, Illness, Burnout, Depression, Anxiety, Life transitions, Betrayal, Neglect, Financial hardship.
In a word: TRAUMA.
What is trauma, now Isaya?
Trauma is the emotional, psychological, and physiological response to an event—or series of events—that overwhelms a person's ability to cope, leaving them feeling unsafe, helpless, or disconnected. It isn’t just about what happened, but how the body and nervous system experienced it. Trauma can result from a single shocking incident (like an accident or assault) or from prolonged exposure to stress (like neglect, abuse, or chronic stress). What’s traumatic to one person might not be to another—trauma is personal, and it lives in the body as much as in the mind.
And, OMGoddess, was that a revelation for me. Talking to these strong and resilient women, to these weak and emotional women, to those who carry both strength and vulnerability in the same breath—it struck me how deeply we all share the experience of cycles, of rising and falling, breaking and healing.
It was in those conversations that I had my aha moment. I realised my purpose wasn’t just to celebrate the light and power in us, but to gently hold space for the parts we often hide—the Shadow. The doubts, the fears, the wounds that we mask with strength or bury beneath resilience. These women showed me that healing doesn’t come from ignoring the darkness but from shining a light on it, embracing those hidden parts with kindness. It was in witnessing their courage to face their whole selves, both fierce and fragile, that I understood my calling: to guide women in owning every layer of their being, transforming shadow into strength, and reclaiming their wholeness.
My new purpose is to invite women to define, embody, and live out their own versions of a Goddess Life, uniquely theirs, rooted in their truth, rhythm, and desires. Not a one-size-fits-all formula, but a deeply personal, ever-evolving expression of who they are at their core. I want to support them in weaving the sacred into the everyday, embracing both their divinity and their humanity, and choosing what feels sacred, alive, and unapologetically theirs. This isn’t about perfection or performance—it’s about authenticity, alignment, and radical self-honoring. As I seem to be repeating constantly these days: Start now, start small, and keep going—because every step toward your embodied truth is a sacred act of becoming, a step towards YOUR Goddess Life.
And this calling—it’s not about working with whoever can afford me. It’s about working with the women who need this work in their bones. The ones whose stories awaken something in me. The ones I feel truly useful and necessary to. I’m here for deep connection, for soul-deep transformation, not transactions. That’s why I’ll be offering scholarships and flexible pricing to women who feel called to this path, but don’t currently have the resources… Because access to healing and awakening shouldn’t be a luxury.
So if any part of this spoke to you—if you’re feeling the call to reconnect with your cycles, to heal your shadow, to define what a Goddess Life means for you—don’t ignore that whisper. The path begins with a single yes.
You can join me at the next WOW Gathering in the UK (June 2026), where I’ll once again be weaving my magic into circles of recovery, radiance, and realness. It's a space like no other—a sanctuary for women rising, no matter where they’re starting from.

And if you're ready for something even deeper, more intimate, and wildly transformative, I’ll be hosting my own retreat in 2026, a Living a Goddess Life Initiation, in the lush, sacred landscapes of southwestern France. A few days just for you—to reconnect, to remember, to rise.

Let the cycles guide you home. Start now, start small, and keep going.
You don’t have to do it alone. I’ll be right there, holding space for your becoming.
Voilà.
I believe that is all for today.
I would be so happy to hear from you.
If this spoke to your heart, I’d love for you to share it with a sister, a friend, a fellow Goddess on the path.
I send, as always, love, light and gratitude.
Isaya
